In our multicultural world it is very easy to gain foods from all over the world, even when they are not in season. Our food is becoming modified and force grown to meet with demand which impacts both our planet, our resources and our health. Yet, when we listen to nature and listen to our bodies we can eat in harmony with our environment making us strong and resistant to whatever comes our way. Very simply, seasonal eating is eating primarily foods that grow in season. When we eat in season we are packing our body with nutrients, supporting our body in the changing season, listening to our needs and it costs less!! In the Taoist traditions the seasons are broken into five: Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn and Winter. Click on the links to find out more and inspirational recipes for the season.
